Swachhta Pakhwada

“Tell me , I forget .Teach me ,I remember.Involve me , I learn”. The Interact Club of AGDAV organised a plethora of competitions for classes VI to XII while the observation of  'Swachhta Pakhwada'  The day began with all the office bearers assembling in the AV room,from where all the directors were allocated inchargeship of a particular event ‌The first was an Art competition for the students of IV to VI. Director Dhairya Srivastava with his team organised this under the guidance of Mr.Shailendra. The competition was inter-class and paintings were evaluated by our school's art teachers Mrs. Shabana Begum and Mr. Shailendra. ‌Essay writing competition was conducted for VI and VII on the topic "Being green is staying clean" and "Clean and green is our perfect dream". Directors Madhu Yadav and Kajal Jha organised with teachers Mrs. Bhanu and Ms. Ekta. The winners were announced on that day only. ‌An inter-house debate competition on the topic "Me

  "Cleanliness is everyone’s duty to enhance the nature’s beauty." With a sense of patriotism and duty the Interact club of AGDAV school has organized 'Swachh Bharat Week' organized from 19 August '17 to 26 August "17. This event commenced with the p ainting competition organized for the mothers of the students of pre primary classes on 19 August'17. The topic was 'Swachh Bharat' and all the participants showed their best and innovative art-pieces. In the end,the winners were announced. The program ended with a vote of thanks speech by our interact coordinator Mrs. Aruna on behalf of the Interact club .

MONTHLY MEETING

 ' A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way. ...' The Interact Club office bearers of AGDAV school held the 1st meeting of the club after the installation on 2 August 2017. The meeting commenced with the Sargent of arms , Sawastik  Bhatacharya colloring the president , Aman Alam. The meeting was chaired by Aman , who welcomed the new team and shared the projects and activities planned for the year 2017-18. All the office bearers were explained their role and duty. Each director was allocated one project and was asked to think and plan its execution. The month wise planning was also done . Director Harsh Sharma was praised for the his idea of starting the project 'FEED The NEEDY'. The meeting was very fruitful as many important issues were discussed. The meeting ended with the Vice President , Ujjawal Singh's vote of thanks.

                             'Peace begins when the hungry are fed' Without a jaded shade of doubt, the NCR region is the most developed region in the north India. But at the same time, a bitter truth is that the area has most number of slums and a vast population is even deprived of proper meal. Even though the government is making some efforts to eradicate this problem but it is time we shall come together to support these people with proper meals.The Interact Club of Arvind Gupta DAV Public School , Model Town Delhi , under the guidance of the school principal and interact teacher incharge and the support of the parent Rotary club , RCDM initiated the project 'Feedy The Needy' ,wherein the club collaborated with 'The Roti Bank' an organization working on this project .Mr Raj Kumar Bhatia , who along with some friends started The Roti Bank around two years back addressed the students in the morning assembly on the launch of the project in the school i.e on

"Trees are the best monuments that a man can erect to his own memory. They speak his praises without flattery, and they are blessings to children yet unborn." From philosophers to entrepreneurs, modern day poets to historical writers, trees have long been a subject of interest and a topic of discussion. Trees are the best natural defense system against air pollution. They keep us safe from the effects of poor air quality and we can breathe fresh air.  They release oxygen in the day and offset its shortage in the air due to release of various harmful gases from vehicles and factories. As a result the air we inhale do have many harmful gases but the amount of oxygen remains higher in it.  This is only possible if we have huge number of trees on roadsides, open areas, in our residential and commercial areas as well.  To promote this awesome cause we need to motivate people to keep planting trees. Installation Ceremony

                                Installation Ceremony The new era of the Interact club Arvind Gupta DAV Centenary Public  School commenced with the installation ceremony held on 24 July 2017 .The show was inaugurated by Assistant Governor Rtn Manish Goel . The ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed Rotarians , Dr Saroj Khanna , president RCDM presided over the function. Our school  principal Mrs Mala sood greeted them with a token of love . The president of Rotary Club of Delhi Metro Dr Saroj Khanna enlightened  the interactors with her soulful words. The ceremony comprised of some spellbound moments like patriotic songs by our school choir and a skit on the theme "Save girl child" which overwhelmed everyone in deep emotions .Then the newly appointed president Aman Alam gave his speech highlighting the goals and objective of the club in the coming year.
